TLA's Biggest Fan

My birdkeeping style is greatly influenced by Tamara of True Love Aviary. I just simply love looking at her videos on her youtube site. I get amazed seeing her handtamed lovies and the way she is spoiling them. The bird toys in her indoor aviary are truly awesome but there is no way i would have any of them in this part of the planet and so got my own birdloloys .

I greatly recommend that you visit her forum site, and you will surely get to know a lot. http://www.trueloveaviaryforum.com/index.php

By the way, should you be interested with any of my toys, http://ibonlandia.multiply.com/photos/album/1/Creative_and_Unique_Handcrafted_Bird_Toys remember that i am just a text away at 09162988824

Happy Birding everyone

One Heart, One Soul, Ibonlandia's Ibon Kalinga

Just a passing note, just to let you know that i am so happy to have three of my handfed lovies got adopted by three kind souls. I am so overwhelmed with joy having found them kind masters and good homes. My heart right now is overwhelming with joy stumbling people who have genuine love for pet birds. Those that shares companion and compassion to our feathered friends....

Their pictures and videos will soon be uploaded by their new bird keepers, once the kids get weaned and flying.... And what is cool, they are requesting to have a visit once in awhile, giving me the chance to check my lovies from time to time......... YIPEE!!!

Why Go Wild, If You Can Connect For Real!

Penpen and Fido are two of my favorite handfed sweethearts. I allow other people to touch them, and seen how happy these people are, having experienced to touch a tamed bird... They get delighted with just a few minutes handling a tamed bird but for some of us who have enjoyed (and still enjoying) the company of tamed birds for a long time now, we know that these birds never stopped from amazing us... Words are sometimes not enough to express exactly the joy and happiness they are imparting to us... An immeasurable, unconditional love and friendship that no one can break. It is like a magic spell that dwells in our being. Having connections with the wild that turned tamed... Wandering like when the world was young, in the beginning of it all....

Loving Birds Is No Easy Job

While it is true that i handfed young birds, i do not recommend the act of handfeeding unless otherwise necessary... All my handfed lovies are those that were maltreated by their parent birds... With my earnest desire and intention to have them live and enjoy life as it be, i stand to be their mother and a friend.

I have come to create and make toys because of my handfed lovies. Pip, Pipay and Pongpong happen to be reasons why ibonlandia takes into existence. They, being my first handfed babies, they were fed, nursed inside my bedroom. Standing to be their birdkeeper and mother, i have come to make one toy and more for their delight. Having no difference in being a mom to our human child, as we give toys to our sons and daughters, and so why not to our most beloved pets as well? Bird toy making has become my passion as i have seen the different joy and happiness it brings with Pip, Pipay and Pongpong.

Based on my actual encounters with my handfed lovies, i can attest how smart they truly are.... Though they are not capable of talking, they can truly understand and if we can only be sensitive enough, we can also understand them much better. They are truly capable of loving us back with their kisses and cuddles...

My other birds, those in my aviary are also tamed and friendly. Having constant visitors around, they get used to people... I could feel that they acknowledge my effort of loving and caring for them, several times i left some cages opened and yet they dont escape. There are a few instances wherein my birds get out by accident but they never flew away and got them back in... I constantly talk to them while i serve them feeds, and check out things to ensure everything is okay. Like my handfed lovies, they are equally pampered with toys too. All my thirty cages are full packed with bird toys and still, they breed very well... Fear not to have toys on your bird cages, it will not hamper their breeding... I can say, because i am a breeder myself.

I do not count anymore how many birds i have handreared so far. I have also become a rescuer to some of my customer's chicks that got the same cases as mine... Sending the chicks once weaned and giving them constant visit from time to time.... Some people has trusted me with my breeding and birdkeeping style as they have adapted the same on their own. It is my pleasure to be of service to anyone and all... As long as i can and capable of, i am open to all for the bird's safety, joy and happiness....

Birding is truly addictive but its all worthwhile...

Birding has become my passion,

Big Thanks and Congratulations

Please allow me to thank the new masters of my albino fischers which i offered to sell and/or swapped recently. The seven month old is a handfed lovie and the three others are equally tamed as well. These four are kept inside my bedroom where they enjoy the free flight and enjoyig every birdloloys scattered inside. The new masters were advised to give them bird toys for they have come to live with it... they were advised further that it would be better if these birds be kept as pets to enjoy their tameness....

My birds have come to love and trust people. They have never thought of escaping even if i left my door opened. And what amazes me more is that, they return to their cages automatically when night time comes. I would close their cages then for i wouldnt want them come near me if im sleeping for i might hurt them unknowingly while im fast asleep....

Conratulations and big thanks....

Eto Na Naman!!!

Last night, a valued customer came rushing to me, which i thought for awhile that there was somewhat an emergency outbreak... With her is a box with three little green roseicollis... all feather plucked by their mother hen. And just what is expected, i was asked to handfed the three little chicks until they get weaned. It aint a surprise, my place have always been a bahay-kalinga for the neglected and abused little chicklets.

With them in the picture is Fido... Eto na nam ako.............
