I have one parakeet who got splayed legs that are really bisaklat (spread apart). While it is true that it can not walk, but yet he can fly from one side to the other of a 17x30 cage, and he can sleep and rest on natural tree perches just like what other normal birds do.
When Bisaklat was still a few months old, i kept him inside my room where i let him fly freely, from where he got confidence. The only sad part with Bisaklat is that he could not be given a partner for it seems he could not mate afterall.
